Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information Taco Bar Cantina ("we", "us") collects through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
- Forms you fill out. The Contact and Catering forms ask for your name, email and phone number. The Catering form can also ask for event details such as date, time, guest count, budget, address, dietary needs and a message.
- Phone and email. If you call or write to us, we receive whatever you choose to tell us.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may log your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
- Usage data. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few actions, such as taps on Call, Directions, Order online, social links, menu tabs and whether a form was sent, together with where that visit came from (for example a Google Business post). It works without cookies and does not follow you across other sites (see Cookies and local storage below).
- Where you came from. If you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags (for example a post on our Google Business Profile) or from another website, we keep those tags or that website's name, the first page you opened and when, until you close the tab. If you then send us a form, this is included in the email so we know which post or site brought you (see Cookies and local storage below).
- Local storage. On mobile, the quick-actions button remembers where you last placed it on the screen (see Cookies and local storage below).
How we use it
We use the details you send through our forms, phone or email only to respond to your inquiry, to plan and quote catering or events you ask about, and to follow up on that request. Form submissions reach us as an email, with your address set as the reply-to so we can answer you directly.
Technical data is used by our hosting provider to secure and operate the site. Usage data is only ever viewed in aggregate, to understand which parts of the site people use.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
- Service providers that help us run the website and handle your messages: Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Resend (delivers form submissions to us by email). They may process your information only on our behalf.
- Delivery partners you choose to use. If you order through DoorDash or Uber Eats, that is a transaction between you and them.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Third-party sites and services
Our site links to or embeds services run by others. They have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them.
- DoorDash and Uber Eats, where online orders and payments are handled. This website does not process payments.
- Google Maps, embedded on the Contact page. Google may collect data when the map loads, under Google's privacy policy.
- Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Yelp and Google, which we link to. Visiting them is governed by their policies.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookie-less and does not identify you personally. We store two small things in your browser: a local-storage preference named "tbc.fab", which remembers the position of the mobile quick-actions button and stays on your device, and a session-storage entry named "tbc_attribution", which remembers where your visit came from (campaign tags or the referring website, the first page you opened and when) and is deleted when you close the tab. The second one is sent to us only when you send us a form. You can clear both any time in your browser settings.
Embedded services such as Google Maps may set their own cookies. If we add other analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first.
Data retention
We keep inquiry details only as long as we need them to respond, to complete any event or catering work you requested, and to meet legal or accounting obligations. After that, we delete them or keep them in a form that does not identify you.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email or call us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights, such as access, correction, deletion, and the right not to be treated differently for using them. We will honor those rights where they apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
